I just saw on CD Japan that Momoi is going to collaborate in the latest album from Chihiro Yonekura. She will be writing the lyrics for one of the songs.

I would also like to ask all of you: What do you think of this type of collaborations? Do you collect this kind of items or do you prefer the ones where she sings?

I like that Momoi goes beyond the singing realm. I think is pretty interesting that Momoi is a writer, lyricist, musician, composer, singer, seiyuu, otaku and radio/Internet celebrity; but at the same time I really like to hear her singing. I believe I can't enjoy her writting lyrics to the fullest mostly becase of the language barrier. That is why even with the language barrier I can really enjoy a song, because of the feeling it conveys.

Personally I'm still collecting her old CDs, where she actually sings the songs. So I don't think I will be buying this type of CD soon, eventhough I do like Chihiro Yonekura voice.

For me... I don't really have enough money to collect everything she works on, but I'll go after her CDs with whatever money I have. :) If I like the singer I'd buy it, but I don't know who Chihiro Yonekura is... Momo-i's words are usually great, but I can only usually understand what's been translated, so it's got to be her voice.

For voice acting, I bought Final Fantasy: Unlimited without knowing who she was, and didn't know till later. My friend showed me Komugi and I bought it and Soultaker as a result. Since then it's just been CDs, but I'm planning to buy Seto no Hanayome. ^_^ I wish it would become popular and air on Adult Swim or something, because whenever I try to tell people about her they've never seen any of her anime.  :'(

I like that she's doing collaborations.  It opens up a lot of opportunities for her.  It reminds me of when Sawao Yamanaka (Pillows) wrote the song Sayonara Summer for Puffy, and it's really interesting to hear Puffy sing a song that sounds like the Pillows.

I'm not sure if Momoi has done any collabos outside of the anime / gaming realm, but it would be interesting to have her write a denpa song for non anime-related jpop / jrock artists (wishful thinking, maybe?)...

I've been thinking about this question for a little bit. I don't really buy these kinds of items specifically. Now, if I hear the song and like it, of course, I'll buy it. ;D

Another upcoming collaboration: Momoi will be writing lyrics and composition for a song on Miyazaki Ui's first album "UI1" called Oui!!~ういうい☆Fallin'love~.

As for if I buy the collaborations or not, it depends. If I am a big fan of both artists, it's obvious. If Momoi did the lyrics and music, it's likely, especially her Summer Of Love series, I will buy all of those (whenever more come out!). If Momoi just did the lyrics and nothing else, a bit more iffy. Really it depends case by case!

Just a small update that Momoi wrote a song on Ikezawa Haruna's album "quatre quarts". She did both lyrics and composition for "Tomodachi ni narou yo".

You can hear a preview here: http://blog.neuve.com/archives/2916 (Momoi's is the first song.)

Momoi will be doing some singing (rapping!) on Rapbit's new CD. The song is called 「Like! Like! Like! feat. 桃井はるこ / らっぷびと」. The CD's called "RAP GIFT EP" and Kageyama Hironobu will collaborate on it too :o

Rapbit is another artist who started out on nico and went on to be a pro. He first did rap versions of anime songs. I first knew him from his version of the Zetsubou-sensei OP: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KaUAKcPHwsg I never really checked out his solo works though... This album will also have a cover of Ringo Mogire Beam from Zetsubou-sensei.

I noticed the CD is up on CD Japan for pre-order. Probably up on the other sites as well (didn't check).

This is old but I forgot to post about it :-[

Former fripside singer Nao released 2 CDs at Comiket 77 which Momoi collaborated on a track on each:

For あ・はっぴー☆にゅーいやー (A Happy New Year) on the CD Fermion, she wrote the lyrics and music, and though it doesn't say on the site, she does some speaking and BG vocals too. (Check out the sample on the site - very cute!)

For "Love For Sail" on Euclidean, she wrote the lyrics.

The site is here: http://dg-nao.jp/

It's a doujin release, so getting it outside of Japan may be tricky ::)

Each CD is only 4 tracks, so why not sell them together as an album? Beats me.

Guess I'll revive this thread ;D

http://d.hatena.ne.jp/momo-itimes/20130512/1368284548
Momoi has done lyrics / music for a new Super Sonico song, こんびにえんす☆がーる.
The CD can only be won in a random lottery you can get at convenience stores and some anime stores too. There's also another CD with a bonus track available as the "last one", meaning whoever buys the very last ticket.

Personally, I go to my local convenience store pretty much every day, so I'd feel kinda weird if the workers saw me buying this stuff and gave me strange looks! haha! But I guess I could always go elsewhere. I sure am tired of random lottery stuff though ::)

I was wondering if she was going to get to write the ED for SS. First season's matched well with KOTOKO's OP lyrics and yet the song just felt like Momoi. Great, more things I have to buy. ;D
